Every year since the birth of Caleb at 29 weeks, the NICU from Utah Valley has a reunion to celebrate the lives of the graduates. After 6 weeks you form some pretty close bonds with the nurses and it is always nice to celebrate Caleb's life and health.
The 2nd time I saw Caleb, I was more aware this time. The first time was right after surgery as they wheeled in my bed to see him. Wheel chairs are so much more convenient in the NICU units.
The day of the carnival promised rain and we were not surprised when the sprinkles started. We got to see a life flight helicopter up close. Luckily we haven't had to ride in one. We like the tours so much better.
We had a light dinner and the usual cotton candy, snow cone, fishing, face painting, and duck pond activities. The kids always look forward to the bounce houses and slides, but this year they opted out because it was freezing already.
